Privacy policy
How Mailbox Juice and this website handle your information. Last updated 19 October 2026.
- Mailbox Juice runs on your own computer. We never receive your email or your Google sign-in.
- If you join early access, we keep your email address and your answers to the sign-up questions, only to tell you about Mailbox Juice. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers on this website.
- We don’t sell or share your information, and we don’t use your email to train AI models.
Who we are
Mailbox Juice (previously called Multi-Gmail during testing) and this website are run by Oliver Hilton, trading as Deep Learning Systems, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Contact: admin@deeplearningsystems.co.za.
The Mailbox Juice app and your Google data
When you link an email account and approve Google’s permission screen, Mailbox Juice is granted the Gmail permission gmail.modify. That lets it search and read your email threads, messages, drafts, labels and attachments; create, edit and send drafts, replies and forwards; and add or remove labels, mark mail read or unread, star, archive, and move mail to Trash or Spam. It also reads the account’s own address and its “Send mail as” addresses and signature, so mail goes out from the right address. It cannot permanently delete email or change your Gmail settings.
How it’s used. Only to do what you ask Claude to do with your email. Nothing runs in the background, and your data is not used for advertising, profiling or any other purpose.
Where it goes.
- Mailbox Juice runs entirely on your computer. There is no Mailbox Juice server, and we never receive your email or your Google sign-in.
- Stored on your computer: the addresses you link, the nicknames you give them, and Google’s sign-in tokens, in your user account’s app-data folder. No email content is stored by Mailbox Juice.
- The email content you ask about is passed to the Claude Desktop app on the same computer, which sends it to Anthropic to produce Claude’s replies. Anthropic handles it under its own privacy policy and your Claude settings.
- Attachments are saved to your computer only when you ask.
- All connections to Google use encrypted HTTPS.
Sharing. Google account data is not sold, rented or shared with anyone else, is not used for advertising, and is not used by Mailbox Juice to develop, improve or train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. No person reads your email on Mailbox Juice’s behalf.
Mailbox Juice’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access. Ask Claude to remove an account: Mailbox Juice deletes its stored sign-in and cancels the access at Google. You can also cancel access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling Mailbox Juice and deleting its app-data folder removes everything it stored.
Early-access sign-ups
If you join early access we collect your email address, how many inboxes you’d connect, which email services you use, the time you signed up, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address that we use only to stop automated abuse of the form. Your browser’s description of itself (user agent) is also recorded for the same reason.
We use this only to tell you about Mailbox Juice early access and launch, and to decide which email services to support first. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, by replying “unsubscribe”, or by writing to the address above.
Sign-ups are stored on our web host’s server in South Africa, outside the public part of the website, and are seen only by us. We keep them until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address on our unsubscribe list, so that we never email you again by mistake.
How our emails are sent. We send early-access emails through Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES), run by Amazon Web Services from its Europe (Stockholm) region in Sweden. Amazon receives your email address and the message only to deliver it, and to stop us emailing addresses that bounce or that report our email as spam. Your email address is therefore also processed in the European Union, where it is protected by the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. Our emails don’t contain tracking pixels, and we don’t track whether you open them or click their links.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking code. Like every website, our web server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as internet address, page requested and time) to keep the service running and secure.
Your rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) you can ask what information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Email admin@deeplearningsystems.co.za and we’ll respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator.
Security
This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS. We collect as little as possible, keep sign-up data outside the public website, and limit who can reach it. If you find a security problem, please email admin@deeplearningsystems.co.za.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. If we make a significant change, we’ll tell early-access members by email.
